The Quest for a Life Enchanted

I have been tossing around the idea of creating a blog for a few months now, I even had a basic idea of how I wanted it to look and the voice I wanted it to have, but I wasn’t quite ready. Then I discovered a wonderful podcast called Earn Your Happy belonging to Lori Harder. I listened to an episode that where she interviewed an amazing woman named Kate KcKibbon, a link to this podcast can be found at the bottom of this post. This woman is a kick ass blogger and inspired me to take the leap and make my idea come to life. So here I am. “What exactly is this blog about” you ask? What it really comes down to is this. I get frustrated and at times angry that society, media and individuals get bogged down and distracted by the negative events occurring every day in our world and communities.

I began questioning the effect these reactions were having in my own life and came to the decision that all I really want is to live life well and be happy. Don’t we all? Scrutinizing the way I look at life and the world around me has helped me to understand something crucial. If I could see through the negativity in the media in all it’s forms, I could see how incredible life really is. There is so much good and beauty, we just need to open our eyes to it. I realized that I could do nothing less than spread good news, positive thoughts and inspiration so that my readers can access a little bit of enchantment and joy. It is literally every where people!

Take a walk through your own neighbourhood and look for just one bit of pure beauty, and you will be one step closer to a happier life. Now, I’m no expert in anything that would qualify me to give anyone advice, but I have been told that my greatest gift is to take any challenging, mundane or difficult situation and turn it into a joyful experience. One of my closest friends referred to this gift as the  Kimmified effect. If I could choose one gift to have, the ability to Kimmify a station would be number one on my list. So keep posted people, and I will do my best to entertain and spread the joy!
